Dr. Ravindra Kolhe is a Professor and E.R. Pund, M.D. Distinguished Chair in Pathology at Augusta University and the inaugural Associate Dean for Translation Research at the Medical College of Georgia. He also serves as Associate Cancer Center Director for Genomics at the Georgia Cancer Center. Dr. Kolhe leads a translational pathology laboratory advancing comprehensive oncology genomic diagnostics. He co-founded SEQUOIA, a global consortium of 50+ clinical laboratories dedicated to democratizing NGS testing in oncology, successfully guiding multiple labs in implementing in-house NGS testing. During the early COVID-19 pandemic, he played a pivotal role on the Georgia Governor’s Task Force and led the state's COVID-19 screening program. He co-founded a COVID-19 Host Genome Structural Variation Consortium, coordinating a global network of researchers studying the host genome response to SARS-CoV-2. Dr. Kolhe has pioneered adapting and validating emerging technologies (NGS, RNA-seq, OGM) in CLIA laboratories, establishing PLA, CPT, and Z codes for reimbursement. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and serves on multiple CAP committees and scientific advisory boards for various organizations.
